Biography
I have over 12 years of broad experience in CRM, mostly working with the Anthropological Studies Center (ASC) at Sonoma State University. I have been the Small Contracts Coordinator there since 2021. I have a thorough working knowledge of federal and state CRM laws and policies and have worked with several federal, state, and local agencies all over California conducting various phases of archaeological studies.
Since 2019, I have taught two methods courses; Survey and Site Recording Methods and CRM Project Management, initially internships at the ASC and now practicum in the Anthropology Department. I enjoy teaching and training students in archaeological field methods, site recording, technical report writing, and site mapping using ArcGIS and Adobe programs.
My main area of expertise is California archaeology, especially the Mojave Desert where I conducted my master’s thesis research. I have worked on Catalina Island, in the Mojave National Preserve, Joshua Tree National Park, and the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. I also have years of experienced working with CALFIRE reviewing CEQA documents and Timber Harvest Plans and am familiar with a variety of cultural resources located in forested environments throughout Northwest California.
